We are looking for an exceptional scientist and leader to join Clarity Sensors as R&D Lead, a rare opportunity to shape the scientific direction of a deep-tech company at the moment it matters most. Working at the frontier of semiconductor materials science, you will drive the development of our proprietary halide perovskite platform into PRISM-X, our second-generation photon-counting X-ray detector. This is a hands-on role with real technical weight: you will be designing experiments, characterising optoelectronic devices, and solving challenging problems in the lab — while also leading the team, managing the R&D pipeline, and working directly with the CEO and Board to align our science with our commercial ambitions across healthcare diagnostics, industrial inspection, and security scanning.

As Clarity Sensors grows, so will this role. What begins as a blend of bench science and technical leadership could evolve into a full-time senior management position — building and mentoring a high-performing R&D team, establishing the scalable processes and rigorous engineering culture that a company of our ambition requires.
